Rupp: what we stand for

Monday, January 11, 2021
Commemoration of Mary Slessor, Missionary in West Africa, 1915
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
    —Revelation 22:1-2 (NIV)
It may be that the grace of renewal will not be given to us in our separation, will not be given until we stand together for the healing of the nations.
    ... Gordon Rupp (1910-1986)

Quiet time reflection:
Lord, speak to Your people, that they may unite in Your word.
